METZELER Racetec™ RR tyre features

- Grip in all conditions: Open road racing is characterised by varying and multiple conditions. The compound specifications of the RACETECT RR have been developed to suit all these conditions.

- K1 = Soft, K2 = Medium, K3 - Hard. The temperature scale refers to the hot pressure in the tyre in use. The choice of compound can vary according to the configuration of the motorbike and the riding style, or according to the rider's preference between better stability and precision on corner entry (K2 version) or better feedback and increased grip (K1 version).

-The RACETEC™ RR compound incorporates a selection of polymers and resins with different carbon black contents to maximise hysteresis, even on slippery surfaces.

- Longevity and performance consistency: road racing sessions can last over 240kms, which is more than three times the length of an average circuit race: longevity, integrity and performance consistency are essential to winning. All RACETEC™ R compounds feature high abrasion resistance thanks to the homogeneous distribution of the components in the polymer matrix, achieved using our proprietary and patented continuous mixing process.

- The arrangement of the grooves on the tread minimises wear and interrupts the forces that crumple the compound, known as Schallamach wear waves.
