Anti-corrosion restoration kit for 2-5L metal tank

Restom®SUPERKIT is the COMPLETE TREATMENT for the treatment of rusty tanks that have already contained fuel. (Not suitable for STAINLESS tanks)

The tanks of old vehicles, cars or motorcycles, are
frequently rusted with the inconveniences that result:
● Clogging of filters and carburetors
● Possible drilling of tanks
● Bad odors
● Risk of ignition.

The current unleaded fuels are degraded in the presence of metal and especially rust. The plasticization provided by
the treatment considerably reduces this degradation and avoids deposits in tanks and carburettors.
To permanently repair these tanks, we offer treatment kits specially developed for this purpose.
These kits are pre-dosed for a tank. Our know-how is based on more than 25 years of experience for these treatments.

Suitable for all fuels: SP95 / SP95-E10 / SP98 / E85 / Diesel / GNR / Avgas 100LL
Fuel additives, used according to the doses recommended by the manufacturers, do not deteriorate Restom® EIR 2000.

IF TREATMENT IS ALREADY PRESENT

If a Restom EIR 2000 treatment is already present in the reservoir, check the adhesion of this treatment by scraping in several places using a screwdriver:

   - if the resin is perfectly adherent (scratches but does not peel off): perform a degreasing with Restom®SDT 4060 and reapply Restom EIR 2000 resin on the area to be reinforced (these 2 products are combined in the Restom Kit Alu) .

   - if the resin has been improperly applied (peeled off) or has suffered a shock (crack): proceed with its stripping with Restom® DKPANT 4031 following the following procedure: Stripping procedure.pdf, then treat with Restom® Superkit.

If a treatment, other than Restom EIR 2000, is already present in the tank, a preliminary stripping is obligatory by following the following procedure: Stripping procedure.pdf

Our cleaner, Restom DKPANT 4031, removes most of the coatings in the tanks (eg the original BMW red coating), but is inefficient in some cases.
Thus we propose you to carry out a free stripping test on samples of coatings that you send us by mail.
After stripping, treat with Restom SuperKit

Restom® Superkit contains:
- Super Restom® SDT 4060 Degreaser
- A Restom®PAC 2030 Rust Remover-Phosphate
- A Two-Component Resin Restom®EIR 2000

Guaranteed without polyester resin or polyurethane or solvent for optimal durability

These kits are pre-dosed for a tank and their size depends on the tank capacity, see below.
Suitable for tanks with seepage-like defects, pinhole-sized bites, micro-cracks ...

The different products are to be introduced successively into the tank to be treated according to the very detailed instructions for use included in the box.

The resin begins to thicken after about 2 hours. This slow cure rate allows a careful distribution.
