Clean all types of motorbike chains with Motul

Motul C1 All Chain Cleaner 400ml cleans all types of motorbike chains (road and off-road) and other vehicles (bike, moped, karting, quad...) perfectly. It is compatible with O-ring, X-ring and Z-ring chain seals.

Its unique chlorine-free formula with extreme degreasing power removes all encrusted deposits: dust, sand, dirt, etc. You can also say goodbye to traces of oil, grease and tar with the C1 cleaner.

We recommend that you shake Motul C1 Chain Cleaner 400ml well before use. You can then spray it all over the chain and wait 5 minutes for it to work. Use the brush provided in the pack to remove large deposits if the chain is very dirty. Complete the operation by lubricating the chain with Motul C2 Road Chain Grease 400ml.

Use Motul road motorbike chain lubricant

Motul C2 Road Chain Grease 400ml is recommended for all types of chains. The chain grease is compatible with standard and O-RING, X-RING, Z-RING models. It will be even more effective for very fast motorbikes as the grease will stick to the chain even at very high speeds.

The use of Motul C2 Road Chain Grease 400ml will allow you to reduce friction and decrease power loss, while increasing the life of your chain kit. The product is water resistant and protects the chain against rust.

For an effective application, we recommend you to clean your whole chain with Motul C1 All Chain Cleaner 400ml. You can then shake the Motul C2 Chain Grease and apply it to the inside of the chain along its entire length. In a few minutes the product will have completely adhered to the chain. The solvent in the grease helps to remove deposits and to penetrate between the pins.

When to maintain the chain of your motorbike?

Depending on how the rider rides, the chain kit will have a longer or shorter life. The smoother the riding, the less wear and tear. The life span can range from a few thousand kilometres for rough riding to more than 20,000 km for smooth riding.

A chain kit wears out, and more than you think if you don't pay attention. The appearance of the chain is a good indicator of the general condition of your kit. On average, it is necessary to lubricate the chain with Motul C2 Road Chain Grease 400ml every 500 to 1000 km, preferably after riding for better penetration. If your rollers are dry, you have already waited too long.

When riding in the rain, you should also apply a little grease to avoid unpleasant behaviour during your next sessions.

Beware, sometimes too much grease can also be problematic as the dirt can build up too quickly and damage the links. Don't wait to degrease your chain completely before putting product back on it.
