Fully CNC machined master cylinders.

Hel Performance manufactures all metal master cylinder parts (including levers) in-house on Brother and Star CNC machines from solid 6082-T6 aluminium billets.

Each master cylinder body requires one hour of machining to remove the material to our exacting standards, with the bore measured automatically in cycle.

Each master cylinder is individually finished and assembled by hand and comes with the latest lever design which allows three gears to be obtained from a single lever.

The lever has a pill-shaped hole into which one of two plugs is inserted. One of them has an offset hole - with the hole closer to the master cylinder, you get a -1 gear. If you rotate the plug 180 degrees, you get a +1 ratio and if you use the plug with a centre hole, you get a 1:1 ratio. This means that with a 16 mm master cylinder you can get a ratio of 15/16, 16/16 and 17/16 from one lever and two inserts.

With the 19mm master cylinder you can get an 18/19, 19/19 and 20/19 from one lever and two inserts.

Lever ratios 16 - Clutch master cylinders or single front brake (small CC models)
18 - More lever travel and feel on dual caliper systems (larger CC models).
19 - Medium lever travel but harder feel - a good compromise.
20 - Less lever travel and the hardest lever feel.

HEL Performance master cylinders include a black, fully cnc lever offering three gears in one.

The two sizes of master cylinder allow you to choose the desired bite for your braking and their three gears allow you to choose your braking effort* at + or - 1 or at 1/1 identical to the original.
*The braking effort is the distance your fingers travel to press the brake lever for the same result.
