The short power-off time is then sufficient to engage the upper gear while keeping the throttle grip fully open without acting on the clutch. The management of the dynamic engine speed is based on a software algorithm that automatically adjusts the cut-off time, which achieves the optimum smoothness at low revs with the maximum precision and speed moving at high revs. The system prevents intervention below 3000 RPM (user adjustable value) to prevent unwanted engine shutdown at low speed or inactivity maneuvers. The IONIC NRG shifter uses the new NRG sensor, which is the result of 13 years of experience from Starlane in designing and building solutions for detecting shifting. The miniaturized NRG sensor is intended to detect not only the simple change, but a signal proportional to the intensity of the driver's action on the lever and the selector rod. This solution can provide an extremely valuable and precise system without fixing to the engine or the frame. This means that it is not sensitive to vibrations and lever oscillations due to the roughness of the asphalt as well as the shift lever due to the unintentional action of the driver's foot. The IONIC NRG shifter does not require any mechanical configuration!
