The origins of the Italian company Accossato

Let's start at the beginning, when Accossato was established in 1969 as a motorbike manufacturer in Moncalieri (TO) by the founder Giovanni Accossato. From the beginning, the brand has been linked to its success in sports competition. Examples include the Enduro World Championship won in 1985 with Muraglia and the European Championship won in 1983 and 1984. In total, Accossato riders have reached the podium once in the World Championship, 3 times in the European Championship and 12 times in the Italian Championship.

The Italian motorbike manufacturer produced a total of around 800 models, ranging from 80 to 50 cc. In the last period of its production, Accossato also produced 125 cc bikes. The peculiarity of these motorbikes is that they were out of step with the times, certainly too advanced for the performance of the time. For example, Accossato's bikes were the only ones, along with Kawasaki, to feature an aluminium swingarm instead of steel at exhibitions.

To this day, the memory of the Accossato motorbikes remains alive thanks to the will of the fans to maintain the myth around these two wheels. A sporting passion that comes to life in Heidelberg, Germany, known for its Accossato motorbike rally every summer in August.

Alongside the production of its motorbikes, Accossato has entered into commercial partnerships with the most important motorbike manufacturers in the sector.
